What is Strong Towns Roanoke?
Strong Towns Roanoke is a Local Conversation within the nationwide Strong Towns Movement. We are a group of people from diverse personal and professional backgrounds who share a common desire to see Roanoke become the best city it can be for all of its citizens.
We utilize our collective knowledge, creativity, and strength to figure out what is our next step following the past century of suburban development in America. From friendly meetings with city planners and council members, to conceptual planning and design, to mobilizing service projects, to networking with kindred local grassroots organizations, Strong Towns Roanoke is bringing the power of community-building back into the hands of the people who make up those communities.
